Inspiration Journey to Singapore Ocean Aquarium
From 19th to 21st October 2025, Island Reefers visited the Singapore Ocean Aquarium as part of an inspiration and research journey for an upcoming large aquarium installation currently under development in the Maldives since 2023.
The visit allowed our team to study immersive exhibit design, large-scale life-support systems, and visitor experience concepts used in one of the region’s leading marine destinations. The knowledge gained supports our ongoing commitment to creating exceptional, world-class aquarium experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and project confidentiality.
Arrival & Observation
The team explored major exhibits and architectural layouts, focusing on how large aquariums create immersive marine storytelling and seamless guest experiences.

Island Reefers studied filtration systems, tank engineering, and operational design strategies that support large-scale marine environments.
